Speckled Trout Are Biting and Oversized Redfish Are Cruising the Laguna Madre
Laguna Madre - Brooks, TX
The fishing in the Lower Laguna Madre has been highly productive recently. I had the pleasure of taking out one of my regular clients from San Antonio for a great day on the water, and the bay certainly did not disappoint.
Right now, the speckled trout bite is absolutely on. We found the fish early and managed to box our daily limit in just a couple of hours. Once we had our trout secured, we shifted our focus and got into some heavier fish. We had a great time wrestling with the big ones and ended the day catching four very nice, oversized redfish.
The water is looking great, and the fish are hungry. Whether you are looking to quickly limit out on trout for the cooler or want to target those larger, oversized reds, the local ecosystem is producing excellent results right now.
